RE: Natural Gas Engine

Here in the UK, LPG is very popular due to our very high fuel (petrol) costs. 1 Gal now costing £5.40 ($10) ! I have converted my Ford GBM Landau V10 to LPG as its half the cost of petrol, runs sweet with no power loss. Have fitted 3x 110 ltr tanks, had to shorten (cut in half) the existing fuel tank to get the units under the back :C This leaves me with around 32gal of petrol. Have registered the RV as Dual fuel ..... Fillings stations are common on the major motorways, and increasing by the month. I get around 10.5 mls to the gal (12.5 on petrol), which means thats around 20mls to the cost of a gallon of petrol :) Again, mostly use mine inconjuction with my motorsport activities, which means the trailer is always behind.

Well, over here it not as strict, but I took mine to a friend who works in a garage to dispose of. The flushing water I lost down the sewer / fresh water systems!!!

RE: Engine Drain Plug 's' on a Ford V10 (F53) 2003

Hi Home Skillet, Found the plugs, the one on the drivers side (left side) was at the rear below the manifold (as you indicated), and was easy to remove. But the right side (passenger) was in the middle behind the engine mounting. I could not get anything in the undo this one, so I reverted to flushing several times and then draining the one side, including the oil cooler unit. I ended up with some 5L of water left in the block. I then added the correct amount of antifreeze (for 27.9L) and distilled water. Ran the engine several times, with the heater full bore..... no air locks ... top up the water ....Job done. Once again many thanks for all your help.

Hi all, Does anyone know if there is a drain plug on the block for the Ford V10. I'm changing coolant and would like to drain the block. Many thanks, Dorian. (GBM Landau, UK based)

The other problem is I live in the UK. I can not get the transformer model / type in the UK, can any help me in sourcing the unit and posting to the UK? Regards Dorian
